The road closure for 228th Ave S.E. between Kent Kangley and 275 Pl S.E has been canceled for this week due to unfavorable weather.
There is a possibility the asphalt crews will try to do some patching along the new curb line on Kent Kangley on Friday, October 21st from 228th Ave S.E. east to approx. 231st Ave S.E. in preparation of the night and day grinding and paving along Kent Kangley, and final paving of 228th Ave S.E.
If the patching occurs on Friday there will be 2 way traffic allowed on Kent Kangley with a traffic revision, and 228th will stay open.
The proposed road grinding and asphalt paving re- schedule for the next week along Kent Kangley and 228th Ave S.E. will happen on either the October 26th, 27th or 28th weather dependent, and should take only 1 long day starting at 3:00 AM until finished around 6:00 PM.
To accomplish this work it will require the closure of 228th Ave S.E. to S.E. 275 Place.
Thank You for your patience on this as the city and the school district are trying to complete this work prior to the winter weather. For more information please contact Tom Bowen City of Maple Valley Construction Inspector.
