The Maple Valley Bar & Grill will be donating 20% of sales on November 9, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to the Greater Maple Valley Veterans Memorial Fund. The memorial is being built on the property located at the corner of SE 248th and Witte Road.
Along with the restaurant donation, merchandise will be on display and available for purchase, as well as the opportunity to purchase charter bricks which will become part of the memorial itself. The Foundation will also be accepting individual donations that evening.
The memorial is being built with two goals in mind; the first goal is to raise funds necessary to cover the building of the memorial. The second is that the foundation will continue in perpetuity in order to maintain and care for the memorial. This foundation will also take on an additional role as assistance provider to local disabled veterans.
Since becoming a tax-exempt charitable 501-3C organization, the foundation has raised nearly $110,000.00. The foundations goal is to break ground in the fall of 2017.
