Did you enjoy singing in your high school and/or college choirs? Have you missed the enjoyment of creating beautiful choral music?
Ken Riggs, Tahoma High and Junior High Schools’ choral teacher will direct and rehearse local, adult singers commencing November 14 and culminating in the annual Holiday Concert, December 16, 7:00 PM at Tahoma Middle School.
We are recruiting choral singers in all voice ranges: sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. No auditions are necessary. The ability to read music is highly recommended.
We understand how busy our schedules are; so, we are planning a short-term rehearsal schedule. We will hold rehearsals in the month of November and December with a concert on December 16th.
Rehearsal dates: November 14, 21 & 28 and December 5 & 12. We’ll meet in the choir room at Tahoma High School on 240th from 7:00 to 8:30PM. Since we will have several songs to learn in a short time, it will be very important to attend each rehearsal. Above all, we’ll have a great time!
Our repertoire will include traditional Christmas and Holiday songs. The Tahoma High School treble choir will perform during half the concert and join the community choir for a final number. Our audience of friends, family and community members will be in for a wonderful, holiday treat!
Please dust off your vocal cords and join your fellow community members in a wonderful opportunity to sing and perform in the community. Dues are $20 for music and director stipend. Please contact either Mary Jane Glaser at MGlaser591@gmail.com or Krissy Riggs at krissyriggs@comcast.net for information and to express your interest in joining us.
Everyone circle your calendars for a wonderful holiday concert on Friday, December 16th! $5.00 suggested donation.
