One man is in critical condition after being shot during a disturbance on a Metro bus. Police responded to S. 21st and Talbot Rd in Renton just before 4:30pm.
Witnesses said the victim and suspect were talking on the bus when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim at least once. The suspect walked to the front of the bus, pointed the gun at the driver and told him to stop the bus. The driver stopped the bus and the suspect got off the bus and fled on foot.
The suspect was appended a short time later, not far from the shooting, by Renton Police Department. Renton Police K-9 searched the area and found a firearm. We have not determined if the gun that was recovered is the same gun used in this shooting.
The victim (27 year old male) was transported to Harborview Hospital and is in critical condition. It is not known if the victim and suspect knew each other. Detectives said there were other passengers on the bus who witnessed the shooting. (Case#C16060693)
The suspect will be booked into the King County Jail.
