Citizens are encouraged to join the Council in supporting the Emergency Feeding Program by contributing food to support the Maple Valley Food Bank and Emergency Services in their efforts to nourish those who are hungry.

Monday, July 24 – Councilmembers sent three dozen county employees into “working retirement” by unanimously adopting legislation approving the transfer of surplus Metro Vanpool vans to local governments, and community programs to assist in providing transportation options. Locally, Black Diamond Community Center and Tahoma School District’s Student Transition Program will each be receiving a van.
