Melvin Preedy passed away peacefully Friday, April 16th. Born in Sublette, KS, he grew up near Spokane, before he became a resident of Ravensdale on “Preedy Mountain” for nearly 60 years.
He is survived by his children April, Kathy, Ramona, Jeff, Melody, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his wife Sonia, and his three brothers.
He bravely battled dementia and remained mostly cheerful until his passing while in assisted living.
A Committal Service will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, from 9-9:30 a.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery followed by an informal gathering at Covington Community Park.
