Police Reports for 12-6-16

Black Diamond

On November 18 at approximately 5:51 p.m. in the 24300 block of Roberts Dr., officers received a call regarding a subject wanting to report that something struck the windshield of his vehicle while he was driving. Upon contact, the male believed that someone threw a rock at his vehicle when he was traveling on the roadway, however, he did not see anyone standing on or near the road when the object struck his windshield. The windshield was not damaged when the object struck it. Due to the heavy windstorm, it is believed that some debris from the nearby trees most likely fell and struck the male’s windshield.

On November 18 at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Roberts Dr. and Lake Sawyer Rd., officers were dispatched to a possible road hazard. There was a sign that blew over on the shoulder of the road and a citizen was concerned it might blow into the road. Officers checked on the sign and found that it was still anchored down by a 4×4 post.

On November 16 at 8:31 p.m. on the 31100 block of 3rd Ave., officers were dispatched for a possible DUI driver walking away from his parked vehicle in a business parking lot. The subject was contacted and found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Enumclaw Police Station for processing, while his vehicle was impounded.

Covington

On November 16 at 6:40 p.m. on the 17700 block of SE 272nd St., two males entered a business asking for some paint that was not in the main part of the business. When the assistant manager went back to retrieve the paint, the males took three new paint guns from a display and fled the business.

On November 13 at 8:27 p.m. on the 17400 block of SE 272nd St., officers were dispatched to some narcotics activity. It was reported that two people had locked themselves into a business bathroom for a while. When they exited, the toilet was clogged with possible narcotics paraphernalia, toilet paper and paper towels. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male and female, who are both well known to area officers due to countless contacts for trespass and theft, as well as other things. Check of the pair revealed the male had 3 misdemeanor warrants – Criminal Trespass, Theft, 3rd degree, and No Valid Operator’s License. Both were trespassed from the business and the male booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) on his warrants.

On November 11 at 12:01 a.m. on the 27100 block of 164th Ave. SE, a resident reported that while unloading groceries from a vehicle, the key to the vehicle was left in the vehicle. Upon return, the vehicle was gone. While out looking for the vehicle, the residents observed it parked in a business parking lot. The vehicle was release to the residents.

King County

On November 21 at 3:03 p.m., a bike that had been stolen and traded for marijuana, was finally located at a pawnshop.

On November 16 at 5:30 p.m. on the 20800 block of SE 226th St., a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious U-Haul parked on the roadway. Upon arrival, the U-Haul was observed blocking the entire road with no lights on and the windows all fogged up. Upon contact, neither male nor female had any pants on. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant for Theft, 3rd degree. The male was booked into SCORE on his warrant. A licensed driver was called in to remove the vehicle from the road.

On November 15 between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. of November 16 on the 16200 block of SE 181st St., a new home under construction was broken into and all the electrical wiring cut out of the walls.

On November 13 at 8:30 p.m., a resident called to report that an unknown male juvenile had been on the roof in order to contact his daughter. Upon contact, the male denied any involvement in the incident. A second male was found still on the roof and told to come down. The second male stated that the daughter had invited both males to the residence as well as instructed them to climb in from the roof. The males were trespassed from the residence and transported home where parents were contacted about the incident.

On November 13 at 2:28 p.m. in the area of SE Petrovitsky Rd. and 140th Ave. SE, two subjects were observed sitting in a vehicle in a business parking lot with the businesses closed. Upon contact, check of one of the males revealed he had two warrants and investigation of fugitive. The male was booked into King County on his warrants.

On November 11 at 1:30 p.m. on the 23900 block of SE 238th St., deputies were dispatched to a residential burglary in progress. A male and female had kicked a door in and were observed loading items in the bed of their truck. As a deputy was arriving, the couple were reported as already leaving the area, however, the deputy came across them and blocked their exit. According to the female, their belongings had been put in another truck and they were merely taking them out and placing them in their truck. When asked about a smoking pipe that was in a pouch on her clothing, she stated she didn’t know where it came from. Following an investigation, the truck was impounded and the female booked into King County Jail for investigation of Residential Burglary. As the male was being transported to a local hospital due to a sudden health issue, he stated he had swallowed an unknown amount of heroin.

Maple Valley

On November 18 at 7:13 a.m. on the 26800 block of SR 169, a transient male was observed sleeping next to the heat pumps outside of a business. A space heater was found plugged into the wall of the business that the male had turned on and was lying next to it with a bed sheet. Upon contact, check of the male revealed he had been trespassed from the area already. The male was booked into Kent Jail for Criminal Trespass, 2nd degree.

On November 16 at 11:32 p.m. on the 23900 block of SE Kent Kangley Rd., a vehicle was observed with expired tabs. Upon contact, the male stated he knew his tabs had expired. He also stated he did not renew the tabs, because he had a suspended license. Check of the male revealed he had one Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree and 2 DUI’s as well as was required to have an interlock device on his vehicle. The male was released to a family member pending filing of charges for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree and Operating vehicle without interlock device installed.

On November 11 at 10:07 p.m. on the 22500 block of SE 248th St., a vehicle was observed in the parking lot of a closed business. Upon contact, it was observed that the interior was filled with smoke and an odor of marijuana could be detected coming from the vehicle. The male and female stated they were smoking marijuana and playing Pokeman. After the male failed the Field Sobriety Tests, both made transportation arrangements and were warned about trespassing.
