Black Diamond
On June 28 at approximately 9:58 p.m. on the 31100 block of 3rd Ave., officers received a call regarding a stolen cell phone. Radio advised that a male had his cell phone stolen in Tukwila earlier in the day. The male used another cell phone to track the location of his stolen cell phone. Officers located the stolen cell phone at a residence. The subject, who was in possession of the cell phone, found the cell phone in a public bathroom and was planning on contacting the owner to have it returned. No criminal charges will be filed.

On June 27 at 9:30 a.m. on the 32400 block of McKay Lane, an officer was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the Lawson Hills Estates neighborhood. Prior to the officer’s arrival, the driver left and drove down a dirt road on private property that was clearly marked as No Trespassing. The officer contacted the driver and vehicle a tenth of a mile in along the dirt road. The driver, who had a suspended license, was ultimately arrested for Trespassing, 2nd degree. The vehicle was impounded, and the suspect brought to the police station for fingerprinting. The suspect was issued a criminal citation before being released.

On June 26 at 5:04 p.m. on the 25200 block of Kanaskat Dr., officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle that was being driven up and down the street as well as appeared to be speeding. Officers arrived and contacted the suspect who was a 16-year old learning how to drive a stick shift. The suspect also lived in the neighborhood.
Covington
On June 22 at 6:16 p.m. in the area of SE 262nd St. and 204th Ave. SE, an officer was dispatched to a suspicious motor home and car parked on a residential street. Upon arrival the motorhome was known to officers. According to the male resident, the motorhome had broken down and he was waiting for a friend to bring him some fluids for the home. The officer told the male to leave as soon as the motorhome was fixed and then the officer left, stating he would be back to check that the home had been moved. Upon return for a check, a female walked towards the officer. Check of the female revealed she had a felony warrant from out of state for possession of a stolen vehicle. The female was booked into King County Jail for fugitive from justice.

On June 20 at 4:22 p.m. on the 19200 block of SE 259th Pl., officers went to the residence of a male with a warrant for theft. The male was contacted and booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for his warrants of Criminal Trespass, 2nd degree and Theft, 3rd degree.

On June 20 at 9:55 p.m. on the 17400 block of SE 270th Pl., three adults were observed in a vehicle in a business parking lot that were reported as not looking good. Upon contact, they stated they were just sleeping. All three had warrants that were declined from the respective agencies. They were advised and then released.
King County
On July 1 between 9 p.m. and noon of July 2 on the 18100 block of E. Spring Lake Dr. SE, someone entered a home being remodeled by kicking a door open and then exiting through the garage door. Stolen items included tools.

On June 30 at 9:45 a.m. on the 17200 block of 140th Ave. SE, a male was contacted at his place of employment due to a felony warrant for Vehicular Assault. He was booked into the Regional Justice Center on his warrant.

On June 27 at 10:52 p.m. in the area of SE 192nd St. and 142 Pl. SE, a vehicle was observed being driven at a high rate of speed. As a deputy attempted to stop the driver, the driver sped off at a high rate of speed. The pursuit was terminated.

On June 26 at 6 p.m. on the 33500 block of SE 309th St., deputies were dispatched to the sounds of a verbal domestic. Upon arrival, a female yelled that the male was running. Deputies observed the male exit the back door to the residence and were able to apprehend the male. Check of the male revealed two warrants – Domestic Violence Felony Violation of a Court Order and Attempting to Elude a Pursuing Police Vehicle. According to the female, the fight was verbal only. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrants. An additional recommended charge of Felony Violation of a No Contact Order was forwarded.

On June 24 between 8 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. of June 28 on the 17400 block of E 293rd Pl., someone cut a wire cable that was locked around a generator in the back of a truck, parked in a driveway, and stole the generator. A pair of wire cutters were found in the roadway nearby.

On June 23 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on the 25200 block of Landsburg SE, someone stole a trailer with a honey bucket on it that had been parked at a trailhead.
Maple Valley
On June 23 between 11 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on the 23100 block of SE 243rd Pl., someone entered two unsecured vehicles parked on a driveway. Stolen items included two garage door openers and Bluetooth stereo adaptor. One door opener was located in the bushes nearby and the garage door found open.

On June 23 at 10:21 p.m. on the 26500 block of SR 169, a vehicle was observed with no headlights on even though 2 auxiliary fog lamps were on. Upon contact, the male driver stated he did not know the headlights were not on. Check of the male revealed he had a probationary license with ignition interlock required. According to the male, he was not required to have an interlock installed. The male was cited for Operate headlamps during the hours of darkness and Operate motor vehicle w/out ignition interlock.

On June 22 at 6:10 p.m. on the 26900 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, while checking on a business parking lot, an officer heard the sound of a vehicle being revved. The officer then observed the driver spin the tires creating a smoke show before cutting loose. Upon contact, the driver admitted it was stupid to do after he had been called a name. Check of the male revealed 2 failures to appear and a poor driving history that included recent speeding violations. The male was trespassed from the business parking lot as well as recommended for Reckless Driving charges. The male stated he understood and that his lawyer would handle it.
